Description

These delightful no-bake Oreo Cake Pops feature a rich, fudge-like chocolate center coated in a smooth white candy shell. Perfect for gatherings, these bite-sized treats offer a satisfying texture contrast and require only a few simple ingredients.

Ingredients

  • Chocolate sandwich cookies
  • Softened cream cheese
  • White candy melts
  • Candy melting aid
  • Semisweet chocolate chips
  • Cake pop sticks

Instructions

  1. Grind the cookies. Pulse the chocolate sandwich cookies in a food processor until they form fine, uniform crumbs resembling damp sand.
  2. Blend the cheese. Add the softened cream cheese to the crumbs and pulse until a smooth, fudge-like dough forms.
  3. Portion the dough. Use a cookie scoop to divide the dense chocolate mixture into equal, substantial portions.
  4. Shape into spheres. Roll each portion between your palms until smooth and place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  5. Chill the spheres. Place the baking sheet in the freezer for fifteen minutes until the dough is firm and holds its shape.
  6. Melt the coating. Heat the white candy melts in a microwave-safe bowl using short intervals until smooth and glossy.
  7. Secure the sticks. Dip the tip of each paper stick into the melted candy and insert it halfway into each chilled sphere.
  8. Dip and coat. Submerge each cake pop into the melted candy in one fluid motion, then allow excess to drip off before setting aside.

Notes

  • Allow the cream cheese to soften naturally at room temperature to ensure a smooth, uniform dough without lumps.
  • Avoid extreme temperature shifts by letting the chilled balls rest briefly on the counter before dipping to prevent the coating from cracking.
  • Use a tall, narrow glass for dipping to provide enough depth for a smooth, single-motion coat.
  • Maintain a dry workspace as even a single drop of water can cause candy melts to seize into an unworkable paste.
  • Stand the pops upright in a block of styrofoam while drying to prevent flat spots on the surface.
