Description

This effortless Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler combines juicy fruit with a buttery, cake-like crust for the ultimate Southern comfort dessert. It is the perfect set-it-and-forget-it treat that delivers professional results with minimal preparation.

Ingredients

  • 2 (21-ounce) cans peach pie filling
  • 1 (15.25-ounce) box vanilla cake mix
  • 1/2 cup salted butter, cold and cubed
  • Nonstick cooking spray
  • Optional: Vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for serving

Instructions

  1. Coat the inside of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
  2. Pour both cans of peach pie filling into the bottom and use a spatula to spread them into an even layer.
  3. Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix uniformly over the peaches, being careful not to stir the layers.
  4. Place the cold, cubed butter pieces evenly across the top of the cake mix layer.
  5. Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is set and golden.
  6. Turn off the slow cooker and remove the lid, allowing the cobbler to rest for 15 minutes to thicken before serving.

Notes

For a crispier topping, place a clean kitchen towel under the slow cooker lid during the final 30 minutes of cooking to trap excess moisture. Using high-quality salted butter is recommended to perfectly balance the sweetness of the canned fruit and cake mix.
