Description
This effortless Slow Cooker Peach Cobbler combines juicy fruit with a buttery, cake-like crust for the ultimate Southern comfort dessert. It is the perfect set-it-and-forget-it treat that delivers professional results with minimal preparation.
Ingredients
- 2 (21-ounce) cans peach pie filling
- 1 (15.25-ounce) box vanilla cake mix
- 1/2 cup salted butter, cold and cubed
- Nonstick cooking spray
- Optional: Vanilla ice cream or caramel sauce for serving
Instructions
- Coat the inside of a 6-quart or larger slow cooker with nonstick cooking spray to prevent sticking.
- Pour both cans of peach pie filling into the bottom and use a spatula to spread them into an even layer.
- Sprinkle the dry vanilla cake mix uniformly over the peaches, being careful not to stir the layers.
- Place the cold, cubed butter pieces evenly across the top of the cake mix layer.
- Cover and cook on high for 2 1/2 hours until the fruit is bubbling and the topping is set and golden.
- Turn off the slow cooker and remove the lid, allowing the cobbler to rest for 15 minutes to thicken before serving.
Notes
For a crispier topping, place a clean kitchen towel under the slow cooker lid during the final 30 minutes of cooking to trap excess moisture. Using high-quality salted butter is recommended to perfectly balance the sweetness of the canned fruit and cake mix.
